The Airline Assessment Simulation course is designed for pilots preparing to attend airline selection assessments for the position of First Officer, as well as for those who wish to gain an insight into the structure, flow, and demands of a typical airline recruitment process.
Participants will experience the practical part of an airline assessment on a certified flight simulator for the first time, guided by experienced instructors—active airline pilots with extensive experience in commercial air transport and multiple assessment processes with major European carriers.

Requirements

The objective of this introductory course is to provide pilots with an opportunity to experience the airline assessment environment in a realistic, stress-free setting.

Participants will become familiar with:

  • The structure of a typical airline assessment,
  • The competencies and performance standards expected by operators, and
  • Their own current skill level relative to airline requirements.

Each pilot receives personalized feedback and basic recommendations for further preparation and training.



Theoretical Module

  • Overview of the airline assessment process
  • Typical structure of an assessment day
  • Familiarization with the aircraft type environment
  • Common tasks and scenario handling
  • Core airline expectations and evaluation criteria

Practical Module

  • Standard simulator assessment scenarios (pre-flight setup, IFR departure – SID, flight segment with ATC instructions, airport orientation)
  • Typical assessment maneuvers and tasks
  • CRM (Crew Resource Management) elements
  • Communication skills and decision-making under supervision
