Career

The GARMIN 1000 course is primarily designed for private pilots. In this course, you will learn to use the modern navigation device Garmin 1000 for both VFR (Visual Flight Rules) and, optionally, IFR (Instrument Flight Rules) flights. This will expand your qualification for aircraft equipped with Garmin 1000 avionics. The extension of your qualification will be recorded in your Pilot’s Logbook.

Description

We offer the Garmin 1000 course in two variants:

  1. Garmin 1000 VFR (Visual Flight Rules) procedures
  2. Garmin 1000 IFR (Instrument Flight Rules) procedures

The schedule for both variants of the course is the same – 2 hours. To start the IFR Procedures Garmin 1000 course, it is necessary to first complete the VFR Procedures Garmin 1000 course.

Phase 1: G1000 Theory: 1 hour (classroom)

The first phase of training takes place in our classroom at Kladno Airport using the Garmin 1000 Simulator training device. This is a unique device for accurate simulation of the Garmin 1000 in the aircraft cockpit, available at our flight school. The Garmin 1000 Simulator consists of two screens, PFD (Primary Flight Display) and MFD (Multi-Function Display), and is equipped with all the Garmin 1000 controls as in the cockpit of an aircraft.

Phase 2: Flight Training: 1 hour (simulator, optionally aircraft)

The second phase of training is the practical application of the knowledge acquired during the actual flight. Practical training is conducted on the Cessna 172SP FNTP II flight simulator with Garmin 1000. For those interested, practical training can be conducted directly in a Cessna 172 SP aircraft with Garmin 1000 and GFC autopilot with a Glass cockpit.

Before starting the course, we recommend studying the Garmin 1000 Operating Manual.
