NIGHT(H) – Night Flight Qualification (Helicopter) is an essential qualification for professional pilots and is also suitable for private helicopter pilots. Graduates of the NIGHT(H) course will expand their knowledge and skills in flying by instruments, which is especially valuable in case of sudden deteriorating weather conditions. It will enhance their pilot skills for flights in reduced visibility, twilight, and at night.
Holders (including former holders) of an instrument rating for airplanes can credit 5 hours towards the 10 hours of required instrument training for helicopters.
Graduates of NIGHT(H) – Night Flight Qualification (Helicopter) will gain the authorization to perform flights after sunset, under good visibility conditions, and with the capability to land at an airport equipped with an illuminated runway. The NIGHT(H) qualification is essential for professional pilots and can be obtained either before starting the Commercial Helicopter Pilot CPL(H) training in a separate course or as part of the CPL(H) training program.
