Practice of IMC flying on a C172SP flight simulator with G1000. The VFR flying course in IMC conditions is a safety course for pilots. IMC or Instrument Meteorological Conditions, are weather conditions under which flight is conducted using instrument flight rules (IFR). The course is primarily intended for private pilots who fly by visual flight rules (VFR) to practice piloting and to handle flights effectively in case they encounter „bad weather“.

Completion of the course is not recorded in the pilot’s license.
Inadvertently entering into Instrument Meteorological Conditions (IMC) without prior warning continues to pose a serious risk and remains a leading cause of many aviation accidents worldwide. Once you lose visual contact with the ground in an aircraft, your fate depends not only on your senses but often also on your knowledge and ability to use the instruments on board the aircraft. However, it always holds true that without proper training, this situation is difficult to manage.
The VFR in IMC course is a safety course for all VFR pilots who want to be as well prepared as possible for unexpected cloud entry, which represents extreme danger for pilots without instrument qualifications. In the course, you will learn what to do to maximize your chances of survival in such a situation, but we will also discuss how to prepare so that you don’t find yourself in these conditions in the first place.
The course includes theoretical preparation in the classroom followed by training on a realistic certified FNPT II simulator representing a C172 aircraft with the G1000.
For those interested in instrument flying, we recommend our Basic Instrument Rating (BIR(A)) course, where you will gain an official instrument rating.
The entire course takes place on a certified FNPT II flight simulator with a Cessna 172 cockpit and equipped with Garmin 1000 avionics.
